As Industry Expectations Shift, Denver-Based Company Aims To Help in a More Meaningful Way
DENVER, June 8, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Joybees Footwear, a family-focused footwear brand, today announced their next charity initiative supporting The Conscious Kid's Anti-Racist Children's Books Education Fund. Beginning June 8 through June 12, customers can enter the code SUPPORT at check-out and 10% of each pair sold on their website will be donated in order to get anti-racist children's books into classrooms across the country.
In addition, Joybees launched its Joy Box Program. Throughout this month, they are accepting nominations of families who need a little extra joy during this time. They will select families from these nominations to receive a Joy Box: a package full of summer-themed goodies that are intended to brighten the day of the family receiving it.
As a company, they believe that bringing joy to families extends beyond an extremely comfortable pair of shoes. Since Joybees launched at the beginning of the year they have taken serious and substantial steps to give back to local communities.

In addition to providing resources that help in the pursuit of joy, we also aim to help parents navigate more difficult times. We believe that contributing to The Conscious Kid's Anti-Racist Children's Books Education Fund that not only helps address issues of race and racism but also encourages action that will make a difference," said Kellen McCarvel, CEO, Joybees Footwear.
In January 2020, Joybees donated approximately 200,000 pairs of shoes to Big Brothers Big Sisters, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, Opportunity Village, Soles4Souls, The Shade Tree, Kyler Kicks, and Goodwill of Southern Nevada. This large contribution was the start of the Joybees giveback program.
In March, Joybees gave the Food Bank of Rockies $3 for every pair of shoes sold over a two-week span. Each dollar raised provides four meals for those facing hunger. With the help of their clients, Joybees was able to contribute 800 meals for families.
While many are struggling during this time, these efforts are more important now than ever. Joybees is looking forward to donating to The Conscious Kid's non-profit, and continuing to choose a charity quarterly to partner with as part of their mission to bring joy to families and help bring positive change to the community.
