Ashfield Commercial and Medical Services to move to new US Corporate Headquarters

IVYLAND, Pa., July 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ashfield Commercial and Medical Services, part of UDG Healthcare plc, recently announced plans to move its corporate office to 1110 Virginia Drive, Fort Washington, PA, due to the continuing expansion of the business. The new office, situated in Philadelphia's northwestern suburbs, is over 80,000 sq.ft. which is 60% larger than the current Ashfield workspace. The expected move is scheduled for March 2017 after construction of the new space is completed in February.

Ashfield, a leading outsourcing partner for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry for commercial and medical services, has been based in its current Ivyland location since 2007 when it purchased Alliance Healthcare Information. The need for a new, bigger facility is a result of the organization growing from 120 to 1500 employees and a significant expansion in operations to accommodate the company's commercial sales and contact center outsourcing, medical information, pharmacovigilance, market access, event planning and healthcare communication service offerings.

In addition to providing much needed office and parking space for employees, the new headquarters will include meeting rooms and an auditorium as well as a dedicated client lounge, full-service cafeteria, coffee shop, fitness center and outdoor patio seating for employees.

Construction of the new space is expected to be complete near the end of February, 2017. Ashfield will move its commercial, clinical and medical information operations, to the new facility in early March. Ashfield will continue to offer its pharmacovigilance and market access services from its North Carolina offices and its healthcare communication services in its Connecticut, New Jersey, Chicago and California offices. Meetings and event services will remain at their offices in Ivyland.
