Ashley Furniture Helps Operation Homefront Clients Sleep Easier

1300 Mattresses, worth $1.0 million, being donated to large non-profit that supports military families in need

ARCADIA, Wisc., Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- AshleySleep, a division of Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc., is showing its appreciation for military families across the nation by donating 1,300 AshleySleep® mattresses to Operation Homefront for distribution to families most in need of bedding.  The mattresses, with a retail value of approximately $1 million, will also be used to upgrade bedding in the three Operation Homefront Villages in Gaithersburg, Md.; San Antonio, Texas; and Oceanside, Calif.

This donation continues Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.'s long standing tradition of honoring the military forces, including the creation of Soldiers Walk/Avenue of Heroes in Arcadia's Memorial Park, which includes a monument for each major conflict in which the United States has fought and is recognized as one of the premier war memorials in the United States outside of Washington, D.C.
