Asian CineVision To Launch the 32nd Asian American International Film Festival's National Tour in Clearview Cinemas' Bergenfield, New Jersey Theatre

NEW YORK, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Asian CineVision announced today that they will present the Asian American International Film Festival (AIFF) National Tour in Bergenfield, New Jersey. As part of the event, four feature-length films from across the globe will be screened at the newly renovated Clearview Cinemas' Bergenfield Cinema 5 in Bergenfield, New Jersey, from Friday, April 2 through Thursday, April 8.

The films, ranging from a theater-inspired romantic drama to a Hindi-inflected comedy about immigrant life in New Jersey, were all official selections of the Asian American International Film Festival 2009 in New York City. Li Tong, one of the films featured during this week-long engagement, is a standout. During the Festival, its director, Nian Liu, won the Best Emerging Director in Narrative Feature award for her masterful portrayal of life in contemporary Beijing.

Clearview's Bergenfield Cinema 5 will be the first theatre on the Asian American International Film Festival National Tour, establishing the theatre as a new hub for Asian American and other International films. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales during this event will go directly to the  filmmakers. Also, the screening of these films at the theatre will accompany the local release of other Asian American and international films there, including Mother, Housefull and Children of Invention, which was the centerpiece presentation during the 32nd Asian American International Film Festival.
