Asia's Top Machine Tool Fair, CIMES 2014, to Focus on Demand Hike for High-End Chinese Equipment and Cost-Effective Products
BEIJING, April 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The 12th edition of the China International Machine Tool & Tools Exhibition (CIMES) will be held at Beijing's China New International Center from June 18 to 22, 2014. CIMES, organized by Reed Exhibition, is a truly global machine tool trading and sourcing platform in the world's largest machine tool market: China.
CIMES 2014 will display the widest range of cost-effective machine tools and tools from leading Chinese suppliers, as well as the latest high-end CNC and Automation technology from top international brands. Statistics show that Chinese companies have an increasingly high level of core technologies in the machinery industry, are constantly developing new models and applying new technologies. This is continuously improving the reliability and consistency of products. It is also driving demand, across Asia, for China-made, cost-effective, high-end machinery products.
In China's 12th Five-Year Plan, it is stipulated that this sector will account for over 20% of total equipment manufacturing by 2015. At the same time, Chinese manufacturers are demanding even more smart equipment technologies, given increasing human labor costs and the need for improved process and capacity. This is boosting demand for high-end equipment. China's manufacturing output was estimated at over RMB 20 trillion (USD 3.2 trillion) in 2013, accounting for over a third of the global total. Statistics also show that 77% of Chinese manufacturers, particularly in the fields of space, aerospace, power generation, rail and transportation, automotives, ship-building and electricity, believe it is crucially important to develop smart manufacturing technologies.
CIMES 2014, China's largest machine tool event for the year, with a gross area of 120,000 sqm, will give international buyers access to Asia's best, value-for-money, cutting-edge machine processing and industrial automation technologies. Approximately 1,300 exhibitors and industry experts from 30+ countries/regions will display nearly 3,000 pieces of machinery and tools at the show. These will include the latest metal cutting, metal forming, special purpose technology, tools, accessories and components, automation and CNC systems and a huge variety of other exhibits. CIMES 2014 will enable 100,000 visitors from over 70 countries to preview and test equipment in person, as well as to efficiently source the latest technologies that can best enhance their manufacturing efficiency.
The event organizers have concentrated their visitor recruitment efforts on key buyers. Local buyers will come from the aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, and shipbuilding sectors, and their international counterparts from trade associations in India, Russia, Indonesia, Thailand, the US, Germany, and Japan.
The CIMES Diamond Club program for 1,500 senior business executives and 500 identified buyers from across China will maximise the outcome of the shows for visitors and suppliers by helping them make the most efficient use of their time onsite. Many international exhibitors from the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Russia, Japan, Turkey, Spain, South Korea, and Italy will enrich the array of exhibits with high quality machine tools.
Between June 18 and 22, being a vivid display of the latest manufacturing and processing innovations in the machine tool trade, CIMES will offer participants 20 conferences and at least 30 collocated technical seminars. These sessions, organized by industry groups, trade publications, academic institutions and high profile companies in the trade, will cover a wide array of the industry's most advanced manufacturing technologies and applications. CIMES 2014 will be an international platform for the Chinese manufacturing industry to drive industrial upgrades and close the gap between the world's leading industry players.
