WASHINGTON, June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On June 17th, 2014 The American Society of Interior Designers will be signing a cooperative Friendship Agreement with the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
In attendance will be members of the three associations and presentations will be given by the CEOs. Randy Fiser, (CEO, ASID), Marsha Turner, (President, IALD), and Daniel Salinas (President, IES) will each speak for a few minutes to discuss how the new level of collaboration will lead to better educational programs, industry material, mutual participation and policy support.
These Friendship Agreements between the Associations will ensure that the disciplines of lighting design, lighting application, and interior design will be supported at the federal and state level. The correlation between the professional practices during the processes of construction, retrofitting, and renovation will be highlighted public policy, regulatory relations, and legislative affairs.
