ASMALLWORLD Launches Mobile Application For Members Worldwide

NEW YORK, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The private members club ASMALLWORLD has announced the launch of its mobile application for iPhone – ( - to its 715,000 strong online membership.

The application features tools for the affluent and predominantly travel-minded network to share advice and information in over 80 of its top cities. Trusted reviews are an important aspect of the app, but setting it apart from others is the Questions section, in which members can post a query on any topic – from which yacht to purchase to where the best restaurants are – that can be answered by any member from across the network.

ASMALLWORLD's 3-degrees-of-separation setup, by which members can see how they are linked to any other person on the site, is as important to the like-minded community as ever, as users will now be able to use the Meet-up Tool to spontaneously come together at events around the world.

Other tools include features to Check-in at restaurants or hotspots – allowing users to see when other members are nearby – and the ability to RSVP to the network's successful series of branded events, of which there are approximately 30 per month across the continents.

ASMALLWORLD's CEO Sabine Heller says of the app, "This is the perfect tool, especially as we come into the Olympics. Many of our members will be travelling to London for the games and will now be able to get together and share tips on the best places in the city."

While currently launching only on the iPhone, members will be able to vote which platform they would like the application to roll out on next, with the following version scheduled for release in the coming months.
