RIVERSIDE, Calif., Feb. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ - Assima announces today that it has filed a lawsuit against Whatfix in United States Federal Court for the District of Delaware for patent infringement, namely that WhatFix's newly-launched Mirror product infringes U.S. Patents No. 8,087,007 and 9,285,948. The lawsuit seeks to protect Assima's hard-earned intellectual property rights related to its Assima Train software and its proprietary cloning technology.
"Significant resources have been invested in developing innovative technologies that are critical to our business and the industry," said Brendan Scullion, CEO of Assima. "Protecting our intellectual property is essential to ensuring continued growth and fair competition. We believe that Whatfix is infringing a number of our patents, and we are taking legal action to address this infringement."
The lawsuit seeks judgement against Whatfix for damages, costs, expenses and interest as well as enhanced damages for willful infringement. Assima is also asking the Court to grant an injunction preventing WhatFix and its affiliates and all other entities from infringing the asserted patents.
Assima remains committed to innovation and will continue to vigorously defend its intellectual property rights. A copy of the lawsuit is available HERE for public reference.
