Assurant Solutions to Create 125 New Jobs in Albany, Oregon

ALBANY, Ore., April 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Assurant Solutions, a leading global provider of extended service contracts and protection programs, today announces plans to double the number of employees at its customer service center in Albany, adding 125 new job positions.

Assurant Solutions' customer service center, which currently has 120 employees, is hiring additional customer service representatives, supervisors and tech support representatives as part of a consolidation of customer service resources that support its extended service contract business. The first group of new employees will begin training in April.

The service representative positions require a minimum of six months of previous customer service experience. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service and communications skills and knowledge or experience using a computer and the Internet. Bilingual capability is a plus. Joe Erdeman, president of Assurant Solutions' Extended Protection Solutions business, said the company selected the Albany site for a variety of reasons, including the region's high quality workforce and because the service center can accommodate a larger staff. The 41,000 square foot center, located at 1880 14th Ave. SE, first opened in May 2004. The company acquired the service center in 2008 as part of its acquisition of Signal Holdings LLC, a leading provider of mobile device protection programs and repair services.
