Athlon Media Group Announces Promotions

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Athlon Media Group (AMG) President/CEO Chuck Allen today announced that Tracey Altman has been promoted to Executive Vice President/Sales, Marketing, Digital & Content.

Altman will lead strategy for the Nashville-based publisher of newspaper-distributed magazines, which recently acquired Parade and Dash magazines and related digital assets from Advance Publications. She has deep roots in the newspaper-distributed magazine industry, serving as Senior Vice President/Publisher of American Profile beginning in 2000. She also launched Relish and Spry Living magazines, with each of the three brands earning "Hottest Launch of the Year" honors from Media Industry News.

Altman lead the 2010 debut of Dash magazine, and headed up the CPG and Shopper categories for Parade. Most recently, prior to joining AMG in November 2013, Altman joined Conde Nast to launch and develop the shopper strategy for ZipList, a universal shopping list and recipe box digital platform, for Epicurious.

In addition, Lisa Delaney has been promoted to SVP/Editorial Director for AMG's portfolio of titles, including Parade, Dash, American Profile, Relish, Spry Living, Athlon Sports and new brand CommunityTable.com. The founding editor of Spry Living magazine, the largest health and wellness brand in the country with a national distribution to 9 million households, Delaney had most recently served as VP/Editorial Director of Spry Living and American Profile, the weekly magazine serving primarily smaller suburban newspapers.
