athome Magazine's Third Annual A-List Awards Comes to The Palace Theater

WESTPORT, Conn., Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Moffly Media will present the 3rd annual A-List Awards on Thursday, September 13, 6-9 p.m. This gala event, Fairfield County's premier home design competition will be held at The Palace Theater in Stamford. Join the athome team and our panel of star studded judges for an evening of great design.  The A-List Awards event includes an elegant cocktail reception catered by Urban Chic, followed by an exciting awards presentation hosted by designer and former judge Eric Cohler who will reveal the first place winners. This special design event is also helping a good cause; a portion of the proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity.

The event is made possible by title sponsor ABC Worldwide Stone, and presenting sponsors Aitoro, Clarke – The Ultimate Kitchen Resource Center, Hemingway Custom Cabinetry, Lillian August Designs, Tischler und Sohn and White Birch Studio.

Requests for A-List entries appeared on the Moffly Media website this past spring along with ads in all Moffly publications. Finalists have been selected by a panel of distinguished judges which includes: Gary Brewer, Thom Filicia, Victoria Hagan, Alexa Hampton, Richard Hartlage, Celerie Kemble, Corey Papadopoli, Peter Pennoyer and Stephen Stimson.Categories include Bath Design, Bedroom Design, Dining Room, Entryway, Historical Home Renovation, Kid's Bedroom, Kid's Space, Kitchen Design, Landscape (Less than one acre), Landscape (More than one acre), Living Spaces, Modern Architecture, Pool Design, Renovation, Traditional Architecture (Less than 7,000 square feet), and Traditional Architecture (Greater than 7,000 square feet).

A special event program will be bound into athome and ALL of the Moffly town magazines' September issues. This program will announce the finalists in each category and will include photos of their projects.

The November/December issue of athome will feature a major editorial spread with additional photography of the winners as well as event photos.
