ATLANTA, Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlantic Trust, the private wealth management division of Invesco Ltd. (NYSE: IVZ), announced today expanded roles for Managing Directors Sid Queler and Bruce Katz in light of record growth of approximately $1 billion in net assets under management.

As part of the firm's ongoing growth strategy, Queler has been promoted to National Director of Business Development, while Katz has been promoted to Director of Strategic Alliances.
In his new role, Queler will spearhead business development planning and initiatives throughout the firm. He will also play a key role in the firm's search and recruiting efforts for new business development professionals.
Katz will strengthen existing relationships and identify and develop new opportunities for business alliances with external firms to promote further growth. Both Queler (Boston) and Katz (New York) also will continue to drive the business development efforts in their respective offices.

Queler is a managing director and a member of the advisory team for Atlantic Trust's Boston office with more than 20 years of industry experience. Before joining Atlantic Trust in 2004, he served as a regional business consultant for Curian Capital, the national director of business development for the Capital Management Group at Avatar Associates and the national sales and marketing manager at BTS Asset Management. Queler is a vice chair of the Board of Overseers at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra Partners Committee and the Boston Estate Planning Council. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Elmira College.
Katz, CFP®, is a managing director in Atlantic Trust's New York office with more than 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Atlantic Trust in 2001, he served as a first vice president for Avatar Associates and director of the Capital Management Group. He was also a member of Avatar's investment committee. Previously, Katz served as a vice president with Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, Inc., and started his professional career with Ernst & Young. He earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and finance from Binghamton University. Additionally, Katz serves on the boards of and volunteers with several charitable organizations.
