Atlas Travel Expands, Opens Midwest Office
Plans for Further Hub Offices Nationwide
MILFORD, Mass., Aug. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlas Travel has hired Patrick "PJ" Mazza as Director of Business Development for their Midwest hub as part of their 2012 expansion. Earlier in the year Atlas announced that it would be developing hub offices in key areas to better serve their business travel customers and has opened hub offices in New York and in the mid-Atlantic region.
"We continue to invest in key new hires and improvements in our technology to ensure we manage the business traveler experience from the moment a ticket is booked right through to the end of the trip," said Atlas President and CEO Elaine Osgood. "Patrick brings years of family-run travel company experience that matches well with our corporate mission to bring personalized service to the business travel world."
Mr. Mazza has travel in his blood. Before his father started his own company, his grandfather Lawrence Incandela started and ran IVI Travel and prior to joining Atlas, Mr. Mazza worked for his father's travel business, Bannockburn Travel Management, a company that ranked as the 48th largest travel management company in the United States. Bannockburn Travel was started by his father in 1986 and was eventually purchased in 2006 by FCm Travel Solutions. Mr. Mazza continued to work as a Business Development Manager with FCm and was soon promoted to a BDM Future Team Leader. As Future Team Leader, he spent time helping team members develop their skill sets, giving constructive feedback and making sure his team got the support they needed to be successful in their careers.
"In the beginning, my father was grooming me to eventually take over his business. I was putting tickets together in production, chasing down debit memos in accounting, helping out in our groups & events department and enjoyed time working closely with clients as an Account Manager," said Mr. Mazza. "I learned a lot about creating that great customer experience from working with my father and it's something I have always carried with me. When given the opportunity to join Atlas, it was a no-brainer for me because Atlas really closely matches my values when it comes to travel management."
Mr. Mazza plans to build up the Midwest hub business by business, just like his father had too and believes that the key to that is always putting your customer's needs first and following his dad's old philosophy of "no, is not an option".
"My dad used to have names and phone numbers of all his clients memorized," continued Mr. Mazza. "I want to get back to that kind of relationship with clients. Elaine Osgood shares my desires and values when it comes to that personalized service and Atlas delivers that to all of their business travel clients."
