ATS, Inc. Hires Brian Rabe As Vice President/General Manager, Heavy Equipment Industry Division

PEORIA, Ill., Oct. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Technology Services, Inc. (ATS) today announced that Brian D. Rabe, an executive with 27 years of experience in manufacturing sales, service and operations, has joined the company as Vice President—General Manager, Heavy Equipment Industry Division. Rabe, whose background includes senior management positions at Kennametal Inc., Cisco Systems, IBM and others, will focus on long-term expansion and operating performance of the division as it continues to serve its North American customers base.

Rabe comes to ATS from Latrobe, Pennsylvania-based Kennametal where he was Vice President/Sales and Managing Director, Americas. At Kennametal, a $3 billion global provider of advanced material and tooling solutions, he was responsible for over $1 billion of sales through direct sales professionals and a network of distributors. Rabe's eight-year tenure with Kennametal also included top executive positions managing the company's Extrude Hone division as well as its customer service and satisfaction functions.

Prior to Kennametal, Rabe was President/CEO of CoolWorks, Inc., a provider of thermoelectric cooling products. He also notably served at Cisco Systems as Senior Director, Global Service Management EMEA, where he was instrumental in building global service operations, service programs and service sales capabilities, as well as at ROLM Systems, a division of IBM, where he was a manufacturing engineer and production manager.

Rabe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Bradley University.
