Attensity Announces Strategic Executive Hires to Drive Company Vision

PALO ALTO, Calif., May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Attensity (@Attensity), the leading provider of corporate insight solutions based on proprietary data contextualization, today announced the appointment of several new executives who will help drive the next stage of the company. The news comes on the heels of the $90 million in financing that the company announced earlier this month as well as the official news that Howard Lau has expanded his role from Executive Chairman and assumed the position as the company's new CEO.

Part of the new executive team is Frank Brown as CFO, Martin Onofrio as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Tommy Hawkins as VP, Development.  With this seasoned executive team as well as several in-house promotions, Lau will move rapidly to expand the existing product line and develop new technologies to help Attensity's customers gain actionable insights and competitive advantages.

CFO Frank Brown brings more than 25 years of experience in the technology and finance industries. Prior to Attensity, he has worked with numerous leading companies in the software, communications, and semiconductor industries, at the executive and board level, to chart corporate strategy and manage internal operations. Frank's experience includes positions with IBM Corporation, Andersen Consulting, Oracle Corporation and Lehman Brothers. As the founder of Amber Ventures, Frank has also worked as a senior finance executive in a variety of privately held technology companies, guiding their activities in areas such as budgeting, accounting, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions. 

Martin Onofrio is Attensity's new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this role, Martin has global responsibility to build revenue through sales, and develop strategic relationships. Before joining Attensity, Martin was the Vice President Mining & Metals Sales for Triple Point Technology, a global provider of in-cloud and on-premise Commodity Management software. He has served as Vice President of Sales with various venture-backed startups such as Blue Martini, KANA Software and SAP.

Tommy Hawkins has joined Attensity as Vice President of Development. In this role, Hawkins is responsible for all of Attensity's technology, including software development, quality and service delivery. With more than 30 years in the technology industry, Hawkins has held executive positions at multiple Silicon Valley startups, including Informix, MarketFirst, Visigenic and PS'Soft. His background covers a broad variety of industries and technologies, from databases through marketing automation to healthcare, and includes two successful IPOs.
