Auction Announced for Waterfront Estate in Historic Sarasota Neighborhood

SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Platinum Luxury Auctions, a real estate auction firm specializing in the sale of unique and distinguished properties within and beyond the United States, has announced the upcoming auction sale of a waterfront estate in Sarasota, Florida. Located in Indian Beach-Sapphire Shores, a charming community known as "Sarasota's Historic Bayfront Neighborhood," the impressive property offers nearly two acres of land, 150 feet of water frontage and a private boat dock. The property was previously offered for $5.5 million, but will now be sold to the highest bidder without reserve at a live auction on February 5, 2016.

"The property evokes a very unique feeling, akin to something you might experience in Key West or even in the Caribbean," noted David Enriquez, Platinum's vice president of operations. "The dense landscaping offers privacy and creates a tropical atmosphere, and the western exposure allows for sunset views that are fit for a coffee table book."

Hidden by lush vegetation and set towards the rear of its oversized parcel, the approximately 7,500-square-foot estate offers a private and gracious living experience on the water. Once inside, one is greeted by an open foyer and lofted ceilings that evoke a sense of spaciousness and symmetry. The master suite includes two bathrooms and two offices, plus a large, private balcony providing spectacular views of Sarasota Bay, Longboat Key, and the breathtaking southwest Florida sunsets. The gourmet kitchen is ideal for casual meals, while formal living and dining rooms provide the perfect setting for elegant entertaining. The residence also offers three additional bedroom suites, as well as separate living quarters with a private entry, ideal for guests, in-laws, or domestic staff.

Additional features include a saltwater lap pool and spa, a large Koi pond with 12-foot waterfall, a wine room with capacity for 1,200 bottles and an antique fireplace with a white marble mantel. The private boat dock allows for dockage of smaller watercraft, fishing, and direct ocean access with no fixed bridges.

The Indian Beach-Sapphire Shores community offers an eclectic mix of homes, ranging from modern estates to 1920's Mediterranean mansions and cottage-style bungalows. Waterfront properties in the community enjoy spectacular sunsets, with direct western vistas of the sun sinking into the horizon beyond Longboat Key. Many of Sarasota's premier cultural and entertainment venues are located within minutes of the community. The world famous, "white sand" Sarasota beaches, such as Siesta Key and Lido Key, are also within a short drive.

Platinum Luxury Auctions, a Miami-based firm, has a lengthy track record of successful real estate auctions in Florida, including the sale of luxury estates in Vero Beach, Bal Harbour, Wellington, Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Miami, and Jacksonville. The firm is now looking to build on that recent success in Sarasota. "The Sarasota market is extremely well-suited for our luxury auction process, and we continue to source new seller inquiries from the area," stated Trayor Lesnock, Platinum's president and founder. Lesnock added that the "Great Real Estate Correction," combined with a number of poorly executed auctions held by competing firms, made high-priced home auctions unpopular in the Sarasota market for several years. He expects that trend to change soon, however. "We anticipate being very busy in Sarasota and its surrounding market areas through at least 2017," he added.

Property previews will be held between 12:00pm - 4:00pm (EST) every Wednesday through Sunday until the auction date. Interested parties may contact Platinum Luxury Auctions at 800.205.4816 or visit SarasotaLuxuryAuction.com for additional details.
