Aurora Kessler Joins Rubenstein Public Relations to Spearhead Firm's Future Growth and Expansion into New Practice Areas

NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Rubenstein, president of Rubenstein Public Relations (RPR), announced today that Aurora Kessler has returned to the firm as Managing Director to oversee the agency's client communication and services, pursue additional industry practice areas and facilitate new business opportunities. Kessler brings a wealth of international media relations experience to the position, including prior affiliation with RPR as a Senior Vice President leading the communications efforts for significant real estate, luxury goods and hospitality/restaurant clients. Kessler will join Managing Director Dara Busch to create a powerful management team.

Kessler joins RPR from Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, where she led the group's global communications practice as Director, Media Communications based in the company's head office in Singapore. Kessler oversaw all aspects of the company's global communications efforts, including comprehensive public relations programs for 30 urban hotels and destination resorts; launch plans for new hotel openings in Vietnam, China, Mauritius, Thailand and India; a network of international public relations agencies and field teams; crisis communications; and investor relations. Kessler was previously Media Manager - ASEAN for luxury hospitality group Amanresorts, where she oversaw the Southeast Asia public relations campaigns for the group's portfolio of 23 hotels worldwide, also based in Singapore.

As a former Senior Vice President at RPR, in addition to overseeing a team of Vice Presidents and the communications efforts for a number of high profile clients, Kessler specialized in creating and executing events including those for 15 Central Park West, the most successful residential property in North American history; the debut of Manhattan House, a $1 billion condominium conversion project; and the relaunch of a major textile house. Before joining RPR, Kessler held senior positions at a variety of public relations agencies in New York with a focus on the luxury lifestyle space.

Kessler has a B.S. in International Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, Walter A. Haas School of Business.
