Autumn Games Announces Multi-Game Publishing Deal With Isopod Labs
Autumn Games to Publish Series of Video Games with Founders of Luxoflux
NEW YORK, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Autumn Games announced today that it has entered into a multi-game publishing partnership with Los Angeles-based video game studio, Isopod Labs. Managed by Peter Morawiec, Adrian Stephens and Cary Hara, Isopod Labs is the second venture of the original founders of successful game studio Luxoflux.
"Isopod Labs was one of the first teams we approached when we launched Autumn Games," said Alex Collmer, CEO and Co-Founder of Autumn Games. "The Isopod team has launched numerous AAA franchises on multiple platforms with a great deal of success -- we are excited to partner with them on a series of innovative properties for the current console generation."
"Autumn's model represents a different style relationship between a development studio and a publisher, which was very attractive for us," said Peter Morawiec, Co-Founder of Isopod Labs. "We felt very comfortable from the start that they would support us in our vision to create compelling new franchises."
"The Isopod team members are amongst the best developers with whom I have ever had the privilege of working," said Murali Tegulapalle, President of Production for Autumn Games. "We have had great successes together in the past, and I look forward to more of the same in this new venture together."
Isopod Labs is currently working on two games with Autumn Games. Both properties are far along in development and are scheduled for release in 2011. Before founding Isopod Labs, their previous company Luxoflux made numerous hit console properties including the multi-million unit selling games True Crime: Streets of LA, True Crime: New York City, and the Vigilante 8 series of games.
Isopod Labs is the second studio to enter into a major publishing partnership with Autumn Games. Autumn is also working with New York-based game studio 4mm Games to publish Def Jam Rapstar, which is scheduled to be released in October 2010. Both relationships embody Autumn's ongoing efforts to provide a new structure of support for top-flight developers to independently make and release games that challenge traditional boundaries.
