Avalon Advisors, LLC Welcomes New Co-CIO, Enhances Next Generation Capabilities
HOUSTON, Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Avalon Advisors, LLC is pleased to announce that E. William ("Bill") Stone has joined the firm as Co-Chief Investment Officer effective October 1st and will transition to the position of Chief Investment Officer at year end. Henry J. Lartigue, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer since 2002, will continue to serve on Avalon's Board of Directors and Investment Strategy Committee, provide leadership to the firm's investment management team, and manage the Avalon Core Equity Portfolio.

Mr. Stone joins Avalon with a wealth of experience after spending 18 years with PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., most recently as Global Chief Investment Strategist for PNC Asset Management. He was a member of its Investment Policy Committee with responsibility for oversight of over $140 billion in client assets. Prior to PNC, Mr. Stone served as Chief Investment Officer at First Western Trust Bank, and also worked at Smith Barney after beginning his career at Salomon Brothers.

Mr. Stone earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Dayton and his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designations.
