(NASDAQ: AVNW), the leading expert in microwave networking solutions, today announced orders for approximately $5 million with a leading electric utility organization in Texas. Aviat will supply its Eclipse hybrid microwave networking platform, IRU 600 EHP and ODU 600 radios and ProVision management software. A multi-year maintenance and support agreement is also included.

In addition to taking advantage of the industry's highest power radio IRU 600 EHP to use smaller antennas over longer hops, the utility will migrate its backhaul network to full-IP, using Eclipse hybrid radios, as legacy TDM radios phase out of existence.
