Avicii To Release First Album #TRUE On PRMD/Island Records September 17

NEW YORK, June 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Two-time Grammy nominated superstar producer/djay Avicii, aka Tim Bergling, will release #TRUE, an album of all new studio music, on September 17th in the U.S. on PRMD Music/Island Records.  Despite global successes in concert, on the radio and in video, this will be Avicii's first full album ever.  #TRUE was recorded in Los Angeles and Stockholm, where Avicii collaborated with an eclectic group of artists including Aloe Blacc, Michael Einsinger from Incubus, blue grass singer Dan Tyminski, Nile Rodgers, and the legendary Mac Davis.  The first single, "Wake Me Up" is available June 25 on iTunes. The track is already Top 10 in ten international markets and #1 in Sweden, Denmark , Finland and the Netherlands. "Wake Me Up" retains the hallmarks of Avicii's production in its driving beat, rousing arrangements and uplifting melodies.  A scuffed guitar riff adds layers to the rhythm section and a stirring lead synth riff is complemented by rich vocals and storytelling lyrics.
