Aviva Family and Children's Services Honors Teri Hatcher, Kimberly and Richard Selby and Carol Stulberg at 'The A Gala'
LOS ANGELES, April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviva Family and Children's Services, a non-profit, non-sectarian, multi-service agency that provides care and treatment to abandoned, neglected, abused and at-risk youth in the greater Los Angeles community, hosts its 2010 "The A Gala," April 17th at The Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, Beverly Hills. Honorees include actress Teri Hatcher, philanthropists Kimberly and Richard Selby and Aviva board member Carol Stulberg.
Chaired by Robin Broidy and Karen Pappas, the evening will be reminiscent of an elegant supper club, complete with martini bars, fine wines and special aged Scotch tastings, coupled with a gourmet menu, dancing and entertainment.
The Impact Awards honor those who have generously shared their experience and expertise with young people who look to them as role models and mentors on their journey to positive, productive, and rewarding futures. Honorees include: award-winning actress Teri Hatcher, best-known for her role as Susan Mayer on "Desperate Housewives." Her big screen credits include the James Bond thriller "Tomorrow Never Dies" and the animated "Coraline."
Carol Stulberg is an established jewelry designer and manufacturer. In addition, she has been a senior fundraising and marketing executive. Stulberg serves on the Executive Board and Resource Development Committee of Aviva Family and Children's Services.
Richard Selby founded R. W. Selby & Co., Inc., an organization with substantial experience in the acquisition, development, management, and sale of multi-family housing. Kimberly Selby pursued her goal of becoming a champion ice skater and was awarded Junior National Champion in 1991. The Selbys are active in their community and share a love for volunteering.
The mission of Aviva Family and Children's Services, founded in Los Angeles in 1915 as Hamburger Home, is to provide professional help to emotionally distressed, abused and neglected adolescents, children at-risk, and their families to develop skills and strengths necessary to enhance their individual and family functioning.
