AXA Equitable Receives Perfect Score on Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index

NEW YORK, Dec. 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, the primary U.S. subsidiary of the global AXA Group, has earned a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation's Corporate Equality Index (CEI), recognizing the company as one of the "Best Places to Work for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Equality." 

Founded in 1980, the HRC is the largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans.  The CEI report is the premier national benchmark for LGBT workplace inclusion.  It evaluates companies on their policies and practices covering LGBT employees.  The 2014 CEI rated 934 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
