AXA XL Promotes Construction Primary Casualty Leaders in North America
NEW YORK, Jan. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- AXA XL's North America Construction business has promoted Scott Schultz to Underwriting Manager for its Primary Casualty business while expanding management responsibilities for Meredith Baron, Executive Underwriter of its controlled insurance program business.

In his new role, Mr. Schultz will lead both the Northeast and Western Regions for the Construction Primary Casualty team. He joined AXA XL's North America Construction team in 2017 from Construction Risk Solutions where he served as a senior client manager. In addition to his brokerage experience, Mr. Schultz's 20-year construction insurance career includes positions with Zurich and Swiss Re. He is a graduate of the University of Denver.
In addition to her Contractor Controlled Insurance Program and Owner Controlled Insurance Program underwriting duties, Ms. Baron now also assumes underwriting management of AXA XL's GL Only Plus program business. Ms. Baron's insurance career began in 2008 when she joined AXA XL's surplus lines operations as a technical assistant. A designated Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), she is a graduate of Temple University.
AXA XL's Construction Primary Casualty team helps contractors address their workers compensation, commercial auto, and other primary casualty insurance needs.
