AXE® and SPIN Announce 2016 SXSW Lineup, Headlined by John Legend

NEW YORK, March 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AXE® and SPIN return to Austin, Texas to present the AXE Collective + Crew Powered by SPIN and bring five musicians' stories to life through unique collaborations in music. As part of his continued partnership with AXE, Grammy & Oscar-winning musician John Legend handpicked five musicians from a nationwide search for the best and brightest talent to join the AXE Collective, and accompany him on one of music's biggest stages as they make their debut performances at SXSW Music on Thursday, March 17 at The Belmont Austin (305 W 6th St, Austin, TX 78701), from 12pm to 5pm.

The AXE Collective is a yearlong music and film mentorship program that inspires guys and girls to "Find Your Magic" and embrace the thing that makes them interesting and unique. Through mentorship sessions with John Legend, the support of SPIN and the opportunity to perform at SXSW, the AXE Collective gives aspiring musicians the tools they need to find that magic, and a platform to share it with the world.

In addition to Legend and the AXE Collective talent, the party will feature an eclectic lineup, which includes hip-hop sibling duo Rae Sremmurd, electrifying LA-based singer Gallant, electronic pop duo AlunaGeorge, and former "Glee" star and featured Clean Bandit vocalist Alex Newell.

To coincide with the launch of the AXE Collective in January, AXE also launched the AXE Advanced Collection, comprised of three different grooming lines designed to help guys express their individuality: Adrenaline, Urban and Signature. The new, more premium range of products deliver a variety of benefits including fragrance release technology, anti-odor technology and anti-marks technology inspired by the styles and routines of today's guy.
