Agents Will Supercharge Documentation, Billing and Referral Intake
DALLAS, Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Axxess, the leading global technology platform transforming how care is delivered in the home, will showcase its new artificial intelligence agents at the National Alliance for Care at Home's Annual Meeting and Expo in Washington D.C. The agents are powered by Axxess intelligence® capabilities and are helping providers save time and dedicate more resources to providing quality care.
"Agentic AI represents a new era for care in the home, giving care providers intelligent support that can help make complex work simpler and more efficient," said Andrew Olowu, Chief Technology Officer at Axxess. "Our vision is to give every organization a team behind your team, with AI agents working alongside staff to help them focus their time and expertise where they can have the greatest impact."
The Ambient Listening Agent streamlines documentation time for clinicians by listening, transcribing and summarizing visit conversations with patients. The secure recordings are analyzed and used to automatically fill out documentation in seconds. Clinicians can review notes and make necessary changes. Agencies have reported saving more than 30 minutes on documentation time for each visit that utilized the agent.
The RCM Agent is a round-the-clock billing tool that can handle tasks within predetermined guardrails. Organizations that use the agent can submit claims at any time, even after business hours. The agent's success rate has helped employees cut the time spent on routine claims by 50% and allowed them to focus on more complex claims management issues.
Axxess' Intake and CRM Agent can automatically enter patient information into Axxess' platform. The agent reduces manual rework and delays through a data import that extracts critical details from referral documents. A separate feature that is available to preview enables organizations to send required documents electronically before a visit so that patients can review and sign ahead of time. This can shave 20 minutes off the time it takes to perform an initial visit.
"Agentic AI can learn, make decisions and act," said Shradha Aiyer, Senior Vice President of Solution Delivery at Axxess. "That changes what AI can mean for care at home. These agents can understand what needs to happen and take action, helping organizations streamline complex workflows and create a more intelligent, responsive way of operating."
Leaders from Axxess will also share expertise on AI with attendees. Olowu will lead a pre-conference workshop for executives focused on "Technology and AI Leadership." Mike Carr, Associate Vice President for Professional Services will speak on "Tech-Enabled Workflows to Improve Care Delivery" and Deborah Hoyt, Senior Vice President of Public Policy, will moderate a discussion titled "Bold Vision: Leadership and AI: Redefining Care at Home."
The Alliance's annual meeting and expo is taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from October 27-30.
