AZEK® Pavers Divert More Than 1 Million Tires from Landfills

SCRANTON, Pa., March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AZEK Pavers, which offer a hardscape solution for outdoor living spaces across North America, has hit a milestone by diverting more than 1 million scrap tires from landfills.   Made with up to 95% recycled content, the manufacturing of AZEK Pavers to date is directly responsible for keeping more than 18 million pounds of scrap rubber and plastics out of U.S. landfills by utilizing more than 1 million recycled tires along with more than 34 million plastic containers.  AZEK Paver manufacturing also uses 95 percent less energy and creates 96 percent less in CO₂ emissions than conventional paver production.
