B. Riley Appoints Steve Reiner To Head Consumer Investment Banking Group As Firm Launches Major Sector Expansion

LOS ANGELES, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- B. Riley & Co., LLC, (B. RILEY) (www.brileyco.com), a leading independent investment bank that provides a full array of corporate finance, research and sales & trading services, announced today the appointment of Steve Reiner as a Managing Director and Head of Consumer Investment Banking. Mr. Reiner, who will be based in B. RILEY's Los Angeles headquarters, has approximately 20 years of investment banking experience while also serving for the past five years as a senior consumer industry executive. 

Mr. Reiner began his career in 1988 with Salomon Brothers Inc. and in 1999 founded Oppenheimer & Co.'s Consumer Investment Banking practice. In 2007, Mr. Reiner joined Financo, an advisory firm focused on the Consumer sector, to open its Los Angeles office. Mr. Reiner moved to the operating side in 2009 when he joined Jessica's, a leading wholesale agent of premium apparel brands focused on the off-price sector, as the company's President. He was most recently with Skechers USA, Inc., a global retailer and wholesaler of lifestyle and performance footwear, as the company's Senior Vice President of Strategy & Business Development.
