Badgeville Expands with Business Development and Sales Executive Hires

MENLO PARK, Calif., May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Badgeville, The Behavior Platform and gold standard for gamification, today announces enterprise industry veterans Anthony Nemelka, Vice President of Business Development, and Scott Hughes, Regional Vice President of Sales, Western Region, have joined its leadership team. The company also announces the promotion of Omar Divina to RVP of Sales, Eastern Region. Badgeville's explosive growth to 70 employees (300% YoY) aligns with its industry domination and highly flexible platform approach to measuring and influencing user behavior.

Anthony Nemelka, Vice President, Business Development, is a seasoned business executive, having held leadership roles in numerous Fortune 1000 enterprises and startups. In his most recent role as Interim CMO at YouSendIt, he was responsible for the launch of the company's new enterprise document collaboration line. Previous to YouSendIt he completed strategic management consulting engagements at several Silicon Valley technology companies including Socialtext (where he served as Interim COO), and Teleplace (where he served as Interim CEO). Previously, Nemelka served as co-founder and CEO of Helpstream, Vice President of Asia Pacific region at Adobe Systems, co-founder and CEO of Epiphany Japan, President and General Manager of PeopleSoft Japan, and spent over a decade in senior marketing roles at IBM.

Scott Hughes, Regional Vice President, Sales, Western Region, has over 15 years of experience building and leading high-performance sales teams for high-growth enterprise SaaS companies. Hughes comes to Badgeville from Lithium Technologies, where he was Regional Vice President Sales, Western Region. Previously, Hughes was the first Regional Sales Director for Interwoven, where he led the West Sales Team from startup through its IPO and growth to a $200M company. Hughes also led the West Region at Lombardi Software from early stage through a successful acquisition by IBM.

Omar Divina, Regional Vice President, Sales, Eastern Region, has been integral to Badgeville's explosive growth with his leadership of East Sales since the early days. Over the course his 15-plus year career, Divina has held a variety of leadership positions in sales, business development, and client services, with the past six years focused on growing innovative SaaS companies.  Prior to joining Badgeville, Divina held senior roles within Socialtext, Inc., SunGard BRASS, and Assent, LLC. He holds a BA in Philosophy from Yale University.
