SHANGHAI, June 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SUNMI Technology Co., Ltd announced their strategic partnership with Baidu Takeout Delivery. This cooperation symbolises the new age of industrial segmentation and service evolution that the 020 takeout service is entering.

Baidu Takeout Delivery intends to optimize user experience for take-out ordering, as well as improving the loyalty of merchants, through hardware equipment. In order to ensure the success of this new venture, the company carried out in-depth market research before choosing SUNMI as their strategic partner.

SUNMI Technology Co., Ltd is an innovation-based enterprise which has received two successive rounds of financing from Xiaomi Tech, with further financing from China Internet Plus Holding Ltd. (the strategic partnership between Meituan and Dianping).

Furthermore, SUNMI has 20 years of experience in the development and manufacture of hardware, making them the perfect partner for this new project. SUNMI develops highly secure Android operational systems specifically developed for intelligent commercial scenes -- SUNMI UI. Through this system, merchants can not only receive orders, but can also download apps to meet diverse needs, such as queuing, reservations, verification, cashiering and membership management.

According to Pater Li, SUNMI's CMO, Baidu Takeout Delivery's first purchase of SUNMI V1 products is already over 50,000 units, with the estimated final amount looking likely to be over 100,000. These SUNMI V1 intelligent terminals will mainly be adapted to receive take-out orders.
