Ballard Designs Teams with Designer Suzanne Kasler on Four New Collections for 2010
ATLANTA, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Ballard Designs, one of America's premier sources of European-inspired home furnishings and accessories, has partnered with noted interior designer, Suzanne Kasler, to create four uniquely themed collections to be sold exclusively through the Atlanta-based company's catalog, website, and full-price retail stores.
The collaboration with an independent designer to produce exclusive signature pieces is the first in Ballard's 26-year history. Kasler's first product line will debut in the August 2010 catalog with one to two new product launches to follow each year.
Kasler, who has produced successful collections for other upscale home fashions manufacturers, including Hickory Chair, Safavieh and Visual Comfort lighting, feels that she brings a unique perspective to the Ballard partnership:
"Ballard Designs shares my aesthetic and love of all things Continental and they aim to show people how to live better, more comfortably, and more beautifully," Kasler said. "My collection is designed to set a tone and create a mood; the pieces are stylish, personal, and timeless—our customers can use them express their own personality and create a lifestyle."
To introduce her decorating aesthetic to customers, the company has invited Kasler to style 10 spreads for their March 2010 issue using all Ballard products. According to Ballad Designs president, Ryan McKelvey, the creative partnership is already proving a success:
