Ballast Nedam and Microbeton are the co-founders of Concrete Valley. The company will focus on specialised solutions in the concrete industry. Concrete Valley consists of two companies, Waco Lingen Beton from Bergen op Zoom and Microbeton from Krimpen aan den IJssel. Microbeton will transfer its operations from Krimpen aan de IJssel to Waco Lingen Beton's current site at Bergen op Zoom.
Waco Lingen Beton
Waco Lingen Beton (a Ballast Nedam company) focuses on the development, production and delivery of high quality, serially produced prefabricated concrete elements for use in groundwork, road building, and hydraulic engineering. These include pipe drops, culverts, tunnels, and noise barriers. The company possesses the expertise and ability to tackle major projects, elements, and the associated production facilities.
Microbeton
Microbeton is a specialist in the development, production, and delivery of distinctive concepts. Its ferro-cement products are characterised by a slender, lightweight construction which delivers 70% savings in terms of materials usage and weight. Microbeton's sustainable products are used in top-quality architectural designs for new construction, renovation, and redevelopment projects.
Concrete Valley
This joint venture is fully in keeping with Ballast Nedam's strategy. Concrete Valley delivers distinctive capacity by harnessing the innovative abilities of supply companies and specialist companies. Hans van der Meer, the head of Ballast Nedam Supplies, notes that "Combined solutions based on Microbeton's lightweight products and Concrete Waco Lingen's prefabricated concrete products create a range of promising opportunities in areas such as groundwork, road-building, and hydraulic engineering, in addition to residential and utilities construction.
