BallenIsles Members Greenlight $35 Million Clubhouse Renovation Inspired by Club's Iconic Heritage
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., March 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- BallenIsles pristine East Golf Course where Jack Nicklaus won the PGA championship is one of the design inspirations for a $35 million clubhouse renovation just approved by the country club's members.
The majority vote for the sweeping architectural and re-design project is the culmination of a multi-year evaluation process, initiated and overseen by the Club's Board of Directors. It included an extensive member survey, independent focus groups, and workshops led by construction and interior design committees.
"Few country clubs offer members such an historic connection to golf and we're pleased that the members have given their unequivocal approval for the renovation project which will add over 30,000 square feet to the clubhouse. The project is the first major upgrade of the Clubhouse facility in more than a decade. "The approval of this renovation speaks to the confidence that the members have in our club and the strength of our financial position. The renovation will not only benefit current members but the growing generation of new members that we're attracting," said BallenIsles Board of Directors President, Jack Cook.
The 72,000 square-foot Clubhouse will be expanded to feature a grand redesigned 19th Hole on the Clubhouse Terrace offering breathtaking views of the East Golf Course, where Nicklaus and many other many golf legends originally qualified for the PGA Tour.
From the Club's iconic Harry's Bar to a larger Main Dining Room, to a dedicated Fine Dining Room, and expansive kitchens, the architectural redesign and renovation will also add to members' enjoyment of a wide variety of dining and social experiences. The expansive clubhouse renovation will also include a new lobby lounge with vaulted ceilings.
The entire project will be financed without an assessment to the membership and is expected to be completed in eighteen months.
