KILMARNOCK, Va., Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank of Lancaster (the "Bank"), an affiliate of Bay Banks of Virginia, Inc. (OTCQB: BAYK) announces promotion.
Randal R. Greene, President and CEO of Bank of Lancaster and Bay Banks of Virginia, announced that the Bank's Board of Directors has promoted Susan S. Pittman to the office of Chief Lending Officer.
Pittman, as Chief Lending Officer, manages all commercial lending for the Bank, to include not only the Northern Neck but Middlesex and Richmond; and she will chair the Bank's Management Loan Committee.
A native of Lancaster County and a graduate of Lancaster High School, Pittman joined the Commercial Lending Department of the Bank of Lancaster in 2002. She was promoted to Commercial Lending Officer in May 2005. Pittman was elevated to the office of Assistant Vice President in December 2005 and Vice President in December 2007. In 2012, the Board promoted her to Senior Vice President; and she was given the responsibility of managing the Bank's Commercial Loan Department.
Pittman earned a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the College of William and Mary. Prior to returning home to the Northern Neck, she worked in the Business Assurance Services division of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and KPMG in Hampton Roads. Since joining the Bank, Pittman has attended several Virginia Bankers Association courses. In August 2007, she graduated from the Virginia Bankers Association School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia.
Active in her community, Pittman serves as Chair of the River Counties Community Foundation Board and is the Ex officio – past president of the Lancaster By the Bay Chamber of Commerce. She has a vested commitment to the youth of the area and expresses this as a member of the Northern Neck Kiwanis Satellite Club, a service organization devoted to assisting area children; as a member of the Lancaster County School Improvement Committee; as Vice President of the Lancaster Middle School PTA; and as an active volunteer with the Youth Club of Lancaster County and Lancaster County Little League.
Pittman and her husband Travis reside in Kilmarnock with their son, Eli.
