Bankers Healthcare Group Settles In At Its New Corporate Headquarters In South Florida

DAVIE, Fla., Nov. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bankers Healthcare Group, the leading provider of financial solutions for healthcare professionals, has added more than 40 associates in South Florida over the past 12 months and plans to hire 50 more in the next 12.

This past February, the company moved to new corporate headquarters in Davie, Florida and recently held a Grand Opening Celebration on Friday, August 21. Davie Mayor Judy Paul was in attendance. "We are thrilled that you're here in the town of Davie," she told the crowd before cutting the ribbon with BHG co-founders and brothers Bob and Eric Castro.

At the celebration, Broward Heart Walk Development Director Donna Byrne presented the company with a Gold Achievement Fit-Friendly Worksite Award on behalf of the American Heart Association. "This award shows that you as employees are doing the right things for health and wellness, and you're working for a company who is educating you in wellness, which is one of the most important things for the American Heart Association: to spread the wealth into the community," she said.

In addition, BHG President and Co-Founder Bob Castro presented a $10,000 check to the international relief and development organization, Food for the Poor, recently named the no. 1 charitable organization in South Florida by the South Florida Business Journal. BHG's relocation also provided a donation of more than 150 extra desks, chairs and other office furniture valued at $35,000. The furnishings were sent to Jamaica, where they have been repurposed in schools and orphanages supported by Food for the Poor.
