BankersHub employee joins three other women to move on to Philadelphia finals

MADISON, Wis., July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Allyssa Beird, Web Manager for Bstuff LLC, dba BankersHub, achieved history in the Philadelphia qualifier of the NBC television show, American Ninja Warrior. Airing June 27 on national television, Beird joined three other women to make history as the only time four women collectively advanced to city finals in the show's history. Men and women compete equally on the popular and incredibly difficult obstacle course, which does not distinguish between gender.

"It all happened so fast," she said in response to her immediate reaction to setting the new record for the show. "When I finished, I was in 30^th place as the final athletes competed, so I didn't wait too long to find out that we had all made it to the Philadelphia Finals!" Only the top 30 out of 120 competitors advance to city finals.

Beird has been Web Manager at BankersHub since its launch in 2012, having designed its well-known logo and brand image. In addition to web operations, she teaches 5^th grade at the Henry B Burkland School, Middleborough, MA. "We have followed Allyssa's progress in preparing for the show since last summer, and see her as an incredible role model for the children she teaches and all women," notes BankersHub Co-Founder, Erin Handel. "I started training last July and go to open gyms 2-3 hours, three times each week," notes Beird. Incorporating a rigorous training routine into a full schedule can be daunting, but she has sound advice for any professionals wanting to raise the bar on their fitness. "If you're just sitting down to watch TV for an hour, you can grab a chin-up bar in a doorway. You can work on push-ups, squats, or just get up 30 minutes earlier to hit the gym or go for a run."
