Barco® Uniforms Announces First Annual "Made To Matter" Award

LOS ANGELES, May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Barco^® Uniforms, a recognized leader of design innovation in the premium healthcare apparel industry, today announced its first annual "Made to Matter" Award, which will honor the world's most inspiring healthcare professionals.

In celebration of Barco's upcoming 90^th anniversary, the first 90 nominees will receive a complimentary scrub set embroidered with Barco's exclusive Made to Matter logo. 

Barco will be accepting nominations through May 31, 2019. In June, a panel of judges will select five finalists, who will submit a video profile for "People's Choice" style voting in July. In August, Barco will announce and award one grand prize winner at its 90^th anniversary celebration in Los Angeles. The winner will receive a year's supply of new scrubs, consisting of three seasonal 4-piece scrub ensembles, and one $5,000 donation to the winner's cause of choice.

In order to be nominated, health care professionals must:

• Exemplify passion for their field
• Be well-respected by their peers and trusted by their patients
• Mentor others and serve as advocates of their respective healthcare field
• Volunteer or show philanthropic efforts
• Go the extra mile for their patients
• Support meaningful causes outside their regular practice
• Care for their patients in an innovative or inspiring way
