Battle Rap Stars Game Judges Real Talent, Not Buttons and Clicks
Innovative new mobile hip hop game now available on iPhone
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Battle Rap Stars®, the first battle rap game that allows users to go up against real hip hop artists, has released its latest version, which features a multi-user mode in which users can "pass the mic" and battle each other.
The game, which is completely voice-powered, gives users the ability to go head-to-head with top artists while scoring their original vocal performances.
"We're very pleased to release the new version of Battle Rap Stars," said Keith Andrews, Founder and Executive Producer of Jump Shot Media, the developer of the game. "This game is like Rock Band, Street Fighter and the I AM T-Pain app all in one. There has never been a game like this before."
Since its original release in November, Battle Rap Stars has been a top-50 music game in the iTunes App Store. It currently has a five-star rating on iTunes along with numerous rave reviews from users.
Version 1.4 of the game features infamous freestyle and battle rapper Mistah Fab, XXL Magazine's 2012 Freshman Class rapper Hopsin and Grammy-nominated rapper Paul Wall.
"The people have spoken— Battle Rap Stars has proven itself to be a major player in the mobile gaming marketplace," said Jerald Perry, Founder and Creative Director for Jump Shot Media. "The technology and concept in this latest version are truly amazing, and we encourage all to show off what they got against some of today's top artists."
Jump Shot Media originally planned on launching the game on the Android platform, as well, but decided to push the release off in order to continue to focus on expanding the game's multiplayer mode to support network battles by the end of the year.
Battle Rap Stars version 1.4 is on sale now for only $1.99 at the iTunes App Store. For more information, please visit http://www.battlerapstars.com.
