Bauer Endorses Fincher for Congress in TN-8
Fincher will bring Tennessee's Values to Washington, D.C., said Bauer.
WASHINGTON, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former presidential candidate Gary L. Bauer this week endorsed Stephen Fincher for Congress in Tennessee's 8th District, calling him a "committed conservative who will unapologetically defend the commonsense values of the American people."
Bauer, a veteran of the Reagan White House, is chairman of the Campaign for Working Families, one of America's leading conservative political action committees. CWF recently announced a target list of more than two dozen races in which conservatives are poised to take leadership in key offices.
"Stephen Fincher may be known to the media as a farmer and gospel singer, but it was his commitment to small government and the values that built this great nation which made it possible for this David to win over Goliath in his primary," Bauer said. "He may have been outspent by $5 million, but he won because voters saw that he is the best person to bring Tennessee's values to Washington, D.C."
Bauer noted that Fincher's willingness to fight for smaller government and less obtrusive government is a vital qualification for office in this economy.
"While the socialist experiment in Big Government is collapsing in Europe right before our eyes, the Obama Administration is growing the government, expanding entitlements, producing record deficits and adding trillions of dollars to the national debt," Bauer said. "Nancy Pelosi and the liberal Democrats have controlled the House of Representatives for four years. In that time, government spending has skyrocketed, unemployment is up and the American people are losing hope. It's time to bring real change to Washington, D.C. by electing Stephen Fincher to Congress."
The Campaign for Working Families (CWF) exists for the express purpose of supporting candidates who will proudly promote conservative values, such as the defense of the traditional family, the sanctity of human life and the promotion of individual liberty and free enterprise.
