Baytown Attorney Dan Linebaugh Receives AAJ Diplomates of Trial Advocacy

BAYTOWN, Texas, Sept. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Baytown personal injury attorney Dan Linebaugh of The Linebaugh Law Firm has received the Diplomates of Trial Advocacy from the American Association for Justice (AAJ).  The award recognizes AAJ member attorneys who have developed their professional and practical knowledge of trial skills and substantive law.

AAJ Diplomates have attended over 400 hours of qualifying AAJ Education programs, including AAJ Education's Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course: Art of Persuasion.  The award was presented at the AAJ 2016 Annual Convention in Los Angeles, where Linebaugh spoke to the AAJ Bus Litigation Group on Winning Cases Through Lay Witnesses and Investigative Discovery.

Linebaugh is one of only seven attorneys in Texas to be named an AAJ Diplomate of Trial Advocacy.  The founder of The Linebaugh Law Firm in Baytown, Texas, Linebaugh is certified as a specialist in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  He has been recognized as a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Thomson Reuters every year since 2003 and H Texas Magazine has named him one of "Houston's Top Lawyers for the People" every year since 2007.

Linebaugh received his JD from South Texas College of Law and a B.A. in speech communication from Youngstown State University.  He completed advanced course work in trial advocacy sponsored by the National College of Advocacy at Harvard Law School and is a graduate of the prestigious Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming, where he studied under the legendary trial attorney Gerry Spence.

Admitted to the Texas Bar in 1985, Linebaugh is also licensed to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U. S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Linebaugh has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and on the board of Governors for American Association of Justice-Truck Litigation Group.  He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association of Justice-Bus Litigation Group.
