Analyst Update: Financial Results, New Products, and Agreements

US stocks ended marginally lower on Thursday, as worries about upcoming corporate earnings reports offset enthusiasm about a trio of soaring Wall Street debuts. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 6.84 points, or 0.04%, to end at 18,105.77; the S&P 500 lost 1.64 points, or 0.08%, to 2,104.99; and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 3.23 points, or 0.06%, to 5,007.79. European markets finished broadly lower on Thursday with growing concerns about Greece's debt situation prompting investors to take some profits after the previous session's 14-year highs. The DAX closed 1.94% lower, France's CAC 40 declined by 0.57% and London's FTSE 100 declined by 0.51%. The pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 index closed 0.9% lower at 1,635.76 points. Chinese shares rebounded on stimulus hopes a day after gloomy first-quarter economic numbers with the Shanghai composite index rising 2.1% to 4,168.85, while other Asian benchmarks were mixed.
On April 10, 2015, Bloomberg reported that the Apple watch, which officially goes on sale on April 24, 2015, arrived in stores on that day in eight countries and Hong Kong for customers to preview.
Reuters reported that Ford Motor Co. is expected to announce on Friday, April 17, 2015 an investment of $2.5 billion in Mexico, according to industry sources.
Shares of Avon Products Inc soared to $9.15, up by 14.23%, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 after reports surfaced that the Company is exploring a sale of its struggling North American business.
On April 14, 2015, Zacks reported that Mylan NV announced an agreement with Pfizer Inc to settle patent litigation relating to Mylan's abbreviated new drug application for its generic version of Pfizer's Viagra (25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg).
Transocean Ltd reported its fourth quarter and full year results on February 25,2015. Revenues for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2014 were $2.24 billion compared with $2.27 billion in the previous quarter.
