Beach Point Strengthens Senior Leadership Team with Appointment of Josh Baumgarten and Eric Storch

Baumgarten joins the firm as President and Chief Investment Officer

Storch joins as Global Head of Client Partnerships and Business Development

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Beach Point Capital Management LP, a leading alternative asset management firm, today announced the strategic hires of Josh Baumgarten as President and Chief Investment Officer and Eric Storch as Global Head of Client Partnerships and Business Development, effective immediately.

In the newly created role of President and Chief Investment Officer, Baumgarten will join Beach Point's Executive Committee and work alongside the senior leadership team to drive corporate and investment strategy across the firm's core investment verticals – private credit, liquid credit & CLOs, multi-asset credit, and structured credit & asset-backed finance.

Baumgarten brings to Beach Point over 25 years of experience building and leading investment businesses across both private and public markets. Most recently, Baumgarten served as Co-Managing Partner and Head of Credit at TPG Angelo Gordon. Prior to TPG's acquisition of Angelo Gordon, he served as Co-CEO and Co-CIO of the firm and led its global credit business. Baumgarten previously served as a Senior Managing Director at Blackstone, where he managed the credit business at Blackstone Alternative Asset Management and helped launch the global co-investment platform.

Storch joins Beach Point as the Global Head of Client Partnerships and Business Development where he will lead the firm's investor relations, capital formation, and product development efforts. He comes to the firm from Oak Hill Advisors where he served as Managing Director and helped lead the firm's business development, client coverage, and marketing activities. Storch was previously Managing Director and Co-Head of Institutional Marketing at Blackstone / GSO's Customized Credit Strategies Group.
