CHICAGO, Dec. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Beal Properties, a privately-held Chicago-based real estate investment company, is proud to announce the creation of a Giving Team centered around supporting organizations working to improve the quality of life for residents in the Chicagoland area.
Heather King, Chairperson of the initiative, praised the impact these groups already have in the community and hoped Beal Properties' contributions would enable each organization to do more.
"The best part about the Giving Team is being able to give to organizations that can give hope where hope is truly needed," King said. "We believe finding strength in one's community is not an antiquated notion. It can have a powerful impact on those who may not have a support system and give them the opportunity to connect with those who can help."
The Giving Team has already made donations to 20 charities across the city, including Center on Halsted, Chicago Community Trust, Greater Chicago Food Depository and Lurie's Children's Hospital. Comprised of committed staff members, who meet monthly to discuss and vet nominated organizations, the focus is on established groups that demonstrate a commitment to making a positive change in the community.
King stressed that the Giving Team is an extension of the culture cultivated at Beal Properties.
"We are renters, patrons, and commuters who care about our city," King said. "We feel that supporting these extraordinary organizations are essential for growth and positive change in our more vulnerable communities."
