Bearded Brethren Vie For America's Finest Facial Hair

STERLING, Ill., Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In the coming days you may notice things getting a little hairy, as November is widely recognized as the month when men join in facial-haired camaraderie — all in an effort to support men's health initiatives. But men's grooming leader, Wahl, wants you to know there's another beard bandwagon that everyone can jump on. Now through Dec. 1, 2018, by voting in the Wahl Man of the Year Contest you can help determine the best beard in America.

Eleven finely groomed gentlemen are going face to face for the title of best beard in America, as votes will help determine the winner in the annual Wahl Man of the Year Contest.

Over the last year Wahl traveled to the Top 10 Most Facial Hair Friendly Cities in America; along the way, a handful of finely groomed gentlemen 'made the cut' and were crowned champion of their cities. These whiskered specimens are now finalists in the annual Wahl Man of the Year Contest. They are going face to face, as votes on the Wahl Grooming Facebook page will help determine who wins the Grand Prize, which includes the title of Wahl Man of the Year, $1,500 and bearded bragging rights.

What is the Wahl Man of the Year Contest?

Wahl's annual search for real guys with a real passion for facial hair kicked off this past April when the Facial Hair Friendly Cities Tour visited the No. 1 city, Philadelphia. The tour features a 30-foot mobile barbershop and a team of Master Barbers traveling from city to city to give guys free trims and grooming advice. Style delegates were chosen at each of the ten Most Facial Hair Friendly Cities, and one was chosen from online entries. These finalists each won $500 and Beard Grooming Gear, which includes a Lithium Ion Stainless Steel Trimmer and a starter kit of Wahl's new Beard Care line.
