According to Beat The Brochure, an online travel company, holidays to the islands belonging to Spain, including holidays to Lanzarote, have seen a huge increase in the number of tourist arrivals. These islands have also been some of the most popular Spanish destinations for British tourists.

Figures released by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade show that Spain has seen almost six million Britons visiting the country in the first six months of this year. The figure, which is up 8.5 per cent over the same period last year, shows that Spain is continuing to be incredibly popular with British tourists.

Aside from Lanzarote, Canary Islands destinations, including holidays to Gran Canaria, also took a major step in June, with tourist arrivals reaching over 650,000 in total. Overall this year, the figures for the Canary Islands showed an increase of over 20 per cent on the previous year.
