Because your project deserves our attention - National Bank is extending its deadline for applications
MONTREAL, Oct. 16, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Given the popularity of the second edition of the One for Youth program, National Bank is extending the deadline for submitting applications to the regional committees by one week so that everyone with inspiring ideas for youth projects can take advantage of this opportunity. Non-profit organizations and elementary and high schools across Canada brimming with ideas now have until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24 to submit their projects to www.nbc.ca/committees.
Winning projects can be awarded as much as $15,000 in financial support. This is over and above the involvement of National Bank employees who may also invest their time and expertise to make the selected initiatives a success. By the time the program wraps up, the Bank will have donated another $1 million to support young people (aged 25 and under) in three sectors of activity: health/well-being, education and the pursuit of dreams. This amount adds to the $12 million in support provided by National Bank over the past five years for education, health care and many other initiatives.
Once the application period is over, 12 One for Youth regional committees will carefully examine the projects submitted to help foster the engagement, talent, drive, vision and determination of Canadian youth.
Last year, a total of 104 projects were carried out, enabling some 50,000 young people to develop confidence, a sense of pride and self-esteem.
