Bechtel and Leading Industry Experts Outline Key Strategies to Protect Energy Systems

RESTON, Va., April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Bechtel's Dr. Amos Avidan, Senior Vice President and Bechtel's Manager of Corporate Engineering and Technology, today joins industry experts at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) for the panel event, "Sustainable Energy Infrastructure: Managing Growing Cities."'

Billions of dollars in energy infrastructure are damaged or destroyed each year as a result of natural disasters. Increased urbanization, especially the growth of megacities, along with resource constraints amplify the impact of extreme weather events and threaten to wreak social and economic havoc on regions around the world.
