Goal Of Public Relations Campaign Is To Promote Economic Development

PERTH AMBOY, N.J., Dec. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The City of Perth Amboy Business Improvement District (BID) has announced that it has retained Beckerman, one of the industry's largest independent public relations firms, to represent the city's central business district and its Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ).

Hackensack, N.J.,-based Beckerman, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, is the state's leading independent public relations firm, with an impressive roster of more than 100 clients in a wide range of  sectors including non-profit, real estate, financial services, legal services, renewable energy, health care and consumer products.

The firm employs more than 60 public relations professionals in offices in Hackensack; New York, N.Y.; Washington, D.C.; and San Francisco, Calif.

The goal of the Perth Amboy public relations campaign will be to promote the advantages of doing business in the city, as well as to educate consumers, existing businesses and businesses that are considering relocating to the city about the benefits of membership in the UEZ, including a 50 percent reduction in the sales tax.
