Bed Head Celebrates Creative Self-Expression at Austin Pride with "Hold Your Head High" Pop-Up Salon

The activation launching August 23 invites guests to style their hair, have their new look projected on a 7'
LED sphere, and interact with drag queens Cyn City, Kerri Colby and Cynthia Lee Fontaine

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Bed Head, the brand known for its innovative line of haircare and styling products, is pulling up to Austin Pride louder, bolder, and more unapologetic than ever. The company announced today that it will launch the Hold Your Head High experience at the Pride Festival on August 23 with a salon inspired activation that's all about fearless self-expression.

The activation featured at Republic Square Park invites pride-goers to be the center of attention with a giant, interactive pop-up salon where they can get their hair touched up with Bed Head products and strike an iconic pose for all Austin Pride to see – literally. Each participant's image will be projected onto a massive LED sphere towering over the installation, turning individual self-expression into a collective celebration.

The activation will also be joined by Texas' own drag queen extraordinaire, Cyn City, who will style people's hair at the salon station. Iconic queens from RuPaul's Drag Race, Season 14's Kerri Colby and Season 8 and 9's Cynthia Lee Fontaine will also be in attendance, both embodying fearless beauty and individuality. 

Bed Head has long championed the LGBTQIA+ community - from collaborations with RuPaul's Drag Race legends to ongoing support for queer creatives and artists. Bed Head is now making a statement at Austin Pride by empowering everyone to let their style define them.
