Bedford Breast Center Announces October Events and Partnerships for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bedford Breast Center announces a series of October events and philanthropic initiatives benefiting The Breasties, its nonprofit partner. The Breasties supports those affected by breast and gynecologic cancers through community connection, educational resources, and advocacy, welcoming survivors, people at increased risk of cancer, those living with stage 4 cancer, and caregivers.

Through partnerships with Good Girl Books, Fleur du Mal and Coco Robotics, along with donations from October mammogram proceeds, Bedford Breast Center will bring breast health education and opportunities to give back to the breast cancer community. Each initiative benefits The Breasties and advances a joint commitment to helping people find support during and after cancer treatment.

A Conversation About Life After Treatment with Good Girl Books

On October 13, Bedford Breast Center and Good Girl Books will host a panel featuring breast surgeon Dr. Heather Richardson, urogynecologist Dr. Rebecca Lane, and nurse practitioner Natalie Rabb at the women-owned bookstore in Mar Vista. The conversation will focus on survivorship and how to thrive after cancer treatment, providing a space to explore the questions and experiences that come with life beyond treatment.

Good Girl Books has curated a collection of inspirational reads for people with cancer, survivors, family members, and caregivers. Throughout October, Good Girl Books will donate 10% of all sales proceeds to The Breasties.

Shopping and Breast Health Education with Fleur du Mal

On October 21, Bedford Breast Center will co-host an event with Fleur du Mal at the brand's West Hollywood store. Fleur du Mal will donate a percentage of that day's sales to The Breasties, and Bedford Breast Center will match the donation.

That evening, the partners will host a VIP shopping event centered on breast health and community support. Bedford Breast Center providers, including Dr. Heather Richardson, will answer guests' questions and demonstrate how to perform a breast self-exam.

Breast Cancer Awareness Across Los Angeles

Coco Robotics will wrap ten of its robots serving Los Angeles customers in Bedford Breast Center designs. The robots will feature QR codes linking to educational resources and a donation page for The Breasties, giving people a way to learn more and contribute as they encounter the robots around the city.

Giving Back Through October Mammograms

Bedford Breast Center will also donate 10% of all proceeds from mammograms performed during October to The Breasties, adding a month-long giving initiative to its community events and partnerships.
